That's the latest scoop from this year's edition of Jobs Rated Almanac, by Les Krantz (Barricade Books, 2002).

Web site manager, publication editor, market research analyst, technical writer, and Web developer all were in the top 75 of the 250 jobs listed, well above fashion model, newspaper reporter, President of the United States, and bartender, each of which fell in the bottom 90.

Jobs were analyzed according to six criteria -- environment, income, employment outlook, physical demands, security, and stress -- using data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the U.S. Census Bureau, as well as studies from trade associations and industry groups, the company says.

As a matter of interest, Catholic priests ranked 114, but the list was compiled before current news stories showed some of the side benefits of the profession.
