That skilled communicator, The Honorable Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.), has made the stellar career move of calling extremely popular War President George Bush a mass murderer.

Rep. McKinney has somehow divined from the cosmos that Bush administration officials may have ignored advance warning of the Sept. 11 attack in order for their friends to profit from fighting terrorism, and said so in a late March radio interview.

Her colleague, Sen. Zell Miller, (D-Ga.), said McKinney's statement was "loony … dangerous and irresponsible." Other Democrats also distanced themselves from the publicity-seeking McKinney.

White House press secretary Ari Fleischer put the bizarre comments into perspective: "All I can tell you is the congresswoman must be running for the Hall of Fame of the Grassy Knoll Society," Fleischer said.
